Speech Language Assessment
The first step is an evaluation or an assessment. We complete both formal and informal assessments to diagnose the areas of deficit and the severity of the speech language deficit. We have access to a variety of formal tools for various aspects of language such as the Clinical Evaluation of Language Fundamentals (CELF), Goldman Fristoe Test of Articulation (GFTA), Grey Oral Reading Test (GORT) etc. Our informal assessments rely on creating a naturalistic environment, making clinical observations and use of clinical expertise. Whether formal or informal, speech language assessments with our registered speech therapists are fun and engaging. We use information collected in speech-language assessments to develop personalized and individualized speech-language goals.
